Our History

Since its inception, Music Heals has been hosted with love, supporting our friend Kadey Schultz, her family, and all families striving to end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). All proceeds will benefit the Biggar Endowment for Muscular Dystrophy at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. This amazing event isn’t just about fundraising; it’s a celebration of friendship, dedication, and the power of music to inspire positive change.

Standing on the Shoulders of Music Heals

Laughter Heals is humbly standing on the shoulders of Music Heals and is not only carrying on the heartfelt commitment to raising money for Holland Bloorview but is going to also support agencies and groups focusing on health care, rehabilitation, food security, mental health and youth services. We are blessed to be carrying on the mission of Music Heals and stand in awe of what that wonderful collection of passionate and dedicated human beings accomplished. We hope that our efforts will honor them and will continue to count on the Music Heals committee for their support and guidance.

Our Impact

Laughter Heals has created meaningful change across multiple communities through our unique approach to fundraising and awareness building. By bringing together comedy and causes, we've been able to achieve significant results that benefit both our partner organizations and the communities they serve.

Each comedy night we organize creates ripple effects throughout the community. When attendees hear directly from those affected by brain injuries, mental health challenges, or food insecurity, they gain new perspectives that often lead to ongoing support for these causes. The funds we raise go directly into service delivery and peer-support networks, ensuring immediate and tangible benefits for those who need them most.
