Tom Champion
Director
Tom Champion is a Lawyer and Employer Advisor with the Office of the Employer Advisor (OEA) in Bedford, where he supports employers across Nova Scotia with workers’ compensation and occupational health and safety matters.
Originally from Port Williams, Nova Scotia, Tom earned his undergraduate degree in International Development Studies before completing his Juris Doctor at the University of New Brunswick in 2017. He was called to the bar in 2018 and practiced at a civil litigation boutique before joining the OEA in 2025.
Outside his legal work, Tom serves on the Credentialing Committee for the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and brings his lifelong love of comedy to the stage. A sketch, improv, and stand-up performer since high school, he has appeared in benefit shows including the LOL Comedy Show at CFB Halifax in support of VETS Canada (July 2024) and the Laughter Heals fundraiser for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (January 2025).
